Mars this morning, Oct 14

Mars from this morning at around 2.00am

Seeing 6/10, 1000 Frames processed in Registax and then Astra Image using ME Decovolution, an alpha trimmed mean and some unsharp masking at the end.

At 100% scale as I could not re-size the image even though it appears good enough to do so (see seperate thread)

Very nice John! Great scale and good detail.

To me, it looks a tad overprocessed and/or oversmoothed, but otherwise very good!

totally agree with Asimov, Philip this is what my second shot looked like only 5 weeks ago so you can see the improvement:

You will find that thanks to the great advice by the guys on this site you'll improve very quickly. That's the whole benefit of forums: share, learn and advance rapridly.

p.s. using a JMI NGT 12.5" w/Torus optics which sounds fancy but seeing amazing shots with instruments as small as 4" telescopes. It's all relative.
