Uhoh! I bought a new 2.5X Barlow and a battery grip for the 350D. I would have expected a little localised weather but not in T'ville.

i was about to buy an 8" scope from a forum member the week before last, but it fell through as i got a massive bill in from my lawyers (i know, dont ask) my good lady seen i was so fed up at missing out, that unknown to me, she bought me a scope last weekend !!

Why do i tell you this? because the weather here has been fantastic ever since, and i just wanted to share my womans act of human kindness.

Seriously though, Sunday and last night here in Canberra, there wasnt a cloud in the sky all night, and its set to continue tonight.

Although Weds apparently we are due some cloud.

Talking

See Duncan, that's what happens when the better half buys the goods. She can charm the weather into being good....and it is!!!

Since I don't have one, I want to know who the culprit is that's clouded our skies over!!!

Ah...wait a minute....it's Al Gore and his caped climate crusader band. They've brought all their global warming with them!!!

I "test" assembled my truss dob for a brief moment yesterday and check the alignment of the optics and the trusses. I wouldn't have thought that would have disturbed the force that much

No Stephen, Bill...this is a major disturbance in the force. We normally don't get weather like this up here at this time of year. Not normally, at least. It's got to be a big purchase somewhere. Might be an unknown!!!.
