who do you recommend for small parts fabrication for an ATM project

Need some eccentric spacers (non standard Al bar size 22mm OD with offset 15mm ID hole some 40mm long some 10mm thick) and a large diameter machined Al lifting washer (140mm OD x 100mm ID x 5mm ) for my pier.

Any recommendations on a Newcastle , Central Coast or Sydney based machinist who has a lathe and is willing to take on small one off jobs ?

Do you have drawings of the parts. I have the tools and some aluminium but you would need to present yourself at my place while the job was done.

Email sent to you at your bigpond address with drawings attached.

That's a 300km round trip , so would rather pay the postage.

Thanks for that.

I'll keep them in mind.

I got a quote today from Newcastle Machineshop in Cardiff which is outrageously expensive.

I visited Barry today and he has done some critical lathework for me to help modify my leveling / adapter plate for my permanent pier.

You guessed it , as usual when go to anywhere in Sydney -- I got hopelessly lost trying to get to his place (I am hopeless finding places in Sydney unless they are really well signposted) , got no car GPS and my downloaded map from Whereis.com was hopeless.

Turned out after missing appropriate turnoffs (3 times !!!) and being misdirected my "locals" at some service stations and being lost for a few hours , somehow I fluked it and wound up only 5 minutes from his place when I found a phone and called him (despite my topping up my prepaid sim card , my mobile refused to connect to the network !!! , I hate mobiles!!!) and he came and rescued me.

I'd like to publically thank Barry for the machining he did for me while I was there , I am very grateful for that Barry.

I also met Barry's missus , you would be hard pressed to find a nicer lady.
