M8 and Eta Carina from a noob

Hello all haven't been on hear for a while, But here's my latest offering. Taken July 18. Sorry about the coma, still no corrector

Carina is 27x 30 sec and M8 is 2x8min, Taken with an olympus e-300,
8" Newt, and an orion broardband filter, Guided.

!00% for effort Jason, the colour is a little over saturated and a slight elongation in the first image other than that a fine effort indeed, keep at it mate.

Agree with Leon re being a little over saturated and slight elongation of stars. If I can give one suggestion, post slightly smaller images until you get to fine tune your set up.They will then look better, as an image at these sizes will show up everything,
Good effort though.

Jason,

I believe that's the first time I've ever seen astrophotographs taken with an Olympus camera. Well done.

I'll have to show a friend of mine who uses Olympus gear (for the time being), it might inspire him to attach the camera onto the back of a telescope!
