Lew, you might try & capture frames wth K3CCD tools - just google it & download, i read a thread which sid the focal reducer was no good - he removed the reducer & substituted a film canister (with the end scut off) to get it to image..the use said it was ok for lua/planetary but not dso's
good luck

I also have an acuter and have never been able to use it in video mode.

Works fine in single shot but will not take video.

When I hit video capture it says "Hit esc key or click to end capture" but it doesn't actually start recording.

When you hit the esc key it says "Error: cannot open capture file".

Any ideas?

Other threads have mentioned going into Win98 under compatability but I can't even find where compatability is.

Help please.

Frank

Find PhotoLib2002 under Start>All Programs>PhotoLib2002>PhotoLib2002.

Then right click and click on Properties. A popup screen will show. Click on Compatibility, then select Windows 98. Click OK. And you're done.

Henry,

Thanks for the advice. I changed the compatibility to win98 and tried again but it made no difference. Also reloaded the software and tried again but still the same problem.

Not to worry, I think I'll move on to something else. Just ordered an LPI.

Frank
