First ever Saturn image 07/07/2009

This is my first ever image of Saturn using a ccd camera. I am far from happy with it. Mind you, I did have a full moon about 20 degrees above the east horizon and I do not think I left enough time for the scope to cool.

LX90 8", DBK21, 900 frames from a 4-minute avi file.

I figured this will probably be the last time this year I would get a chance to image Saturn. I can only improve on this.

You've captured a little bit of surface detail there.
Such a pity that it's so low now.
Time to turn the scope towards Jupiter now I think.

Yeah, a couple of faint bands. I think my wavelet adjustments need to be refined in Registax.
