I couldn’t sleep last night, which is unusual, so I made myself a coffee and watched the low clouds being lit-up by the neon and flood lights on the building tops…it was really impressive...reminded me of my favorite restaurant, the Vertigo Bar and Restaurant in Bangkok.
Thought I might show you some pics (plus one from the net). It's located at the Banyan Tree building. If you've never heard of it-it's an open-air bar and restaurant on the 61st floor…there are no fences to keep you in, just a 4ft high barrier-psychological.
To keep the ambience, lighting is restricted to small mag-lite torches to view the bar menu, even the anti-collision lights are shielded inward.
Pretty yes but at the same time depressing i.e sky glow/light pollution
I spent some time in Hong Kong last year and pretty much the entire night sky is drowned out by both light pollution & smog, pitty the astronomers who live there.

So that's why there are so many bars in HK, so Astronomers can drown their sorrows?!
