Observatory up and Walking.

I would like to say that the Observatory was up and "Running" but we still have a little way to go. The project started 15 months ago and has progressed in fits and starts over the passing months - but it now does what it was intended to do - Keep me warm and produce pictures. For anyone interested I kept a photo journal of the construction
at:- http://www.pbase.com/loc46south/observatory

Cheers

New Observatory

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment - When I told the wife I was thinking of getting a "live in" Housekeeper for the observatory things when quite for a while. Main thing is it is warm.

Next project on the cards is to hopefully convert it to solar power and then to automate it.

Cheers
Geof

The observatory looks great. I like the sleeping arrangements- very cosy. In fact, I think the observatory is insulated better than my house!

I wish I had your skyline...I should post mine.
I wanted to buy a friend's house and 15 acres near Myrtleford, Victoria, just so I could get clear skies... of course, I didn't have the money but it was a nice dream...

After spending quite a few years imaging off the back of a Landrover in the middle of a paddock sky was the first consideration and warmth came a very close second.

Cheers

Looks real good, I just finished mine a couple of weeks back and what a difference it already has made for me, not setup/tear down anymore.
You will love it.

Matt.
