Seduced by Marian

Are you sick of me, yet?

My green and gold early morning hideaway.

I made this photo at the idyllic and peaceful location that is known as Marian Falls.

Specifically, this image shows Marian Creek and the blue glacial melt in the rapid as it rushes forth downstream, all bathed in glowing soft light.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
0.60s f/22.0 at 33.0mm iso100

Slightly larger version available here.

Comments, critique, etc., all welcome.

Regards,
Humayun

Oh, I was looking forward to a romantic story here H.
I'll just have to gaze at yet another beautiful image from you instead.

Nice shot. Things I like about it:
- the vibrant colours
- the curve of the fern fronds in the foreground in towards the main subject of the river
- the distance being the light yellow, attracting the eye and lightening the image

I suspect you managed quite well to get such a clear shot without foliage completely obscuring the image? It looks like it would have been tricky to find a clear spot in amongst the pants... unless it's one of those convenient parks where there is a purpose built boardwalk to elevate you

After looking at some Norman Lindsay etchings recently the title of this creation is rather evocative! Another beautiful image Humayun.

Adrian,

Thank you! I've had it open on my desktop at work for a couple of days now. It takes me to my happy place, haha.

Jeanette,

No maidens were harmed in the making of this photograph.

Thanks!

Terry,

I'm glad that the intended purpose of the image is working.

Roger,

Actually, I think I was on a rock, as I have another few images from the same location that I'm presently working on and you can clearly see the rock.

Thanks for the kind words.
