Hi Analog6,

I heard about it but was not in the right place. Reports say the streak of light was visible from here.

Cheers Marty

I saw something similar about a year ago over the sea about 5 in the morning on the northern beaches of Sydney. A very bright object with a long tail. It lit the whole sky and was moving rather slowly parallel with the horizon. It lasted about maybe 5 to 10 seconds and then just went out. It was amazing. I will never forget it.

I did realise it would be viewable from more than just that location but was quoting the article. Like Petra (spacezebra) I was hoping someone onhere might have been lucky enough to have been out with the camera/telescope.

And I'm sure 'they' will have frozen the aliens by now! LOL!

If you live nearby you might be able to find a meteorite.
