M8 Again

How cold was it last night!!!!!! but clear, not much fog and a day off today, so I was going to play. Have a heap of new toys to play with and learn about.

Drift alignment, using EQ Mod and Eq Align, just didn't seem to want to play with me, then I realized the location for eq align had defaulted back to, well something in Italian.

So away I go, get reasonable happy with that then I notice goto isn't quite as accurate as I had hoped for, notice the power led on the side of the eq6 flashing, never done that before?

As it turns out running 4 x dew straps at pretty high levels and the mount causes my 18 amp hour 12 volt lead acid battery to suffer, muck around with different power supplies and whilst not satisfied with the result, we got sort of close enough to have a play.

M8 through EOS 1000D and SW ED 80 6 x 5 minute exposure ISO 1600, PHD Guiding and 2 x Darks applied. Stacked in DSS and edited in CS3. Still no Flats, I'm really not impressed with my efforts, but we'll get there.

Comments always appreciated.

Darren

considering 6x5min subs, I would have expected to see more nebulosity... Further processing might see this turn from a good image to a great one!

I recommend hitting curves and levels a few more times to see if you can pull more data out...
