Yes David, I did the 50mm chop as per Clive's great article here:

This easily brings the DSI II into focus even with the
homemade
filter wheel assembly attached, which adds approx 22mm to the
equation.

I have tried a few colour sets.
Nothing earth shattering to offer so far.
A lot is down to inexperience.
Colour balance is hard to get right. The Meade set (cheap) need
about 10sec exposures of RGB to match the 5sec luminosity subs.
No science here, no G2V calibration done yet...all estimates so far.
