Bought another DVD today to add to my Pink Floyd collection.

This one's entitled "Pink Floyd and The Syd Barrett Story".
Contains exclusive interviews with all Pink Floyd members plus unseen performances.

I've only watched the first half so far and I'm really enjoying it.
Bought from JB HiFi for $9.99.

Hmmm .... also luv Pink Floyd, and bought pink Floyd at Pompei - must try it again, as not a run of music, but talking and music ....... luv Pink Floyd and luv Pompei, so will try again - quite a few sections to disc.

You must get hold of the "Classic Albums" episode, "Dark Side of the Moon".
You'll pick it up at JB for around $10.
It takes you through the album, song by song, with interviews from all the band members.

Have seen a few documentaries about the early Floyd and Barrett. Quite a gifted and talented soul. One of the saddest acounts was when they were recording "Wish You Were Here", who they thought was a vagabond who had wondered into the studio actually turned out to be Barrett but they didn't recognize him at first
Will never grow tired of listening to these guys' music.

The "Meddle" dvd is OK too. Pity it didn't go as in depth as the first one, interviewing band members etc.
"Pompeii" is awesome. There's a scene near the beginning where David looks straight into the camera, makes me swoon every time I see it.

I've seen this DVD and viewed it before. Thought it was very good.

I think "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" I-IX was specifically is about Sid. Still shiver at the line in the Wish You Were Here album;

"Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky."

Object lesson into absolutely avoid illicit drugs, or Barrett's case, LSD.

His wasted brilliance was just a loss to Floyd and what they were about in their early days.
