Nikon 102° eyepieces

Our friends over at CN are discussing the new Nikon 102° NAV-HW EPs.
These beasts come with a barlow-like attachment which converts each one to a slightly shorter focal length (12.5mm -->10mm and 17mm --> 14mm).
Their earlier Nav range are very highly rated so these are sure to be great EPs.
Though they will want to be for an est $1260US each!!
Even the Ethos lover in me won't go that far I'm afraid.

Only half the price!

But don't forget that you get 2 focal lengths so that's only $630- each.......very "ethos" like

If only the 2-for-1 fl's weren't so close together that reasoning might be enough

I think the fact that prices are getting so elevated has brought attention back to the $100 high performance 40 to 50 degree eyepieces (Televue Plossls, HD Orthos). When the sticker shock gets too high just give up and grab a Plossl.

Where did this thread come from?

Nah at current prices, if I had any money I would be adding the 21E and maybe a 31NT5
