Smile "I'm watching you"

This Cockie was watching me clean up some branches, and stayed long enough for me to snatch the camera for a quick pic

A nice portrait Ron – a nice natural setting too. I love the detail on the yellow tail.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Dennis, his mate was only a few feet above my head and I didn't know it till they both flew off.
Magnificent birds, even though very noisy at times

Love it Ron,

He really does look to be keeping an eye on you.
Lovely detail and in such a natural looking environment.

I am sorry if I have missed any previous info on your camera and lens, I note you mentioned 300mm, but what was the camera and lens please.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks Liz, I also love those Red Tailed Cockies, they are fairly rare down around the SunShine Coast I think
I include a shot I took last year in the Karumba Caravan Park NQ.
Photo taken with a Nikon777 digital camera I bought off a member of iceinspace for $80:00

Shot like a pro Ron!

Great impromptu & playful pose, and love the tight depth of field and focus. You can only pull off a shot like that with an SLR and a decent lens.

Nice pics Ron .. we don't often get them close to the coast .. I've heard them called three day rain birds ( bit of an understatement of late ).. but I never see them any other time .. Bumped lots of them up on top of the range .. wonder why they come down in the wet ?

Thanks It could be something to do with the availability of food when it is wet or lack of it when it's dry
