NGC 2014 Reprocessed

I thought my last post of this image was quite poor.

Here is a reprocess which is a considerable improvement.

NGC 2014 looks like a footprint, the blue object associated with the Wolf Rayet star is NGC 2020.

120m L=R, 60m R, 60m G, 60m B, BRC-250, ST-X10ME.

Regards

Steven

This repro definitely rocks! Nice tight and smooth. You've picked up a lot more details in the blue ring. Very well done. Love it.

I'm surprised the blue ring came out as well as it did as the luminance was taken throught a red filter.

Clear skies

I really like this image Steven - nice one . I think you might give it a bit more oomph though if you stretch the histogram a bit and put a bit more black into the background (one curve will do it). Protect your stars though so they don't bloat. I tried it on your image and it does make a difference.

Cheers, Marcus

Awesome shot Steven.

It looks like we have our own jellyfish nebula here.

Greg.

Thanks Greg.

It still however looks like a footprint to me.

Hello Marcus.

Why don't you send an attachment of the processed image.

I usually prefer a more restrained form of processing.
