Anyone else living for new moon?

After my last pretty satisfying sessions capturing photons on the sensor, I have been finding day to day living rather drab.

While the moon is out I am in no hurry to leave work, rush home and get everything done before heading out to the observatory for the night.

Next new moon is on a Sunday, but the Friday and Saturday nights just before should be BRILLIANT!!!! I can't wait. Every day the next stargazing session draws closer...

Is it just me or have I got it bad?....

Baz.

Baz, Can't wait till next weekend.
I've just come home from work and I'm heading straight back outside to make the best of these couple of hours of darkness.

Yep, I agree Baz.

I'm hoping to get the scope out and take advantage of the dark skies as well

Cheers

Forecast looking pretty dodgey for SE Qld for next week - I've got a bad feeling about new moon here.

Fingers crossed though!

Two of my favourite words are : 'waning gibbous'.
One of my least favourite is: 'clouds'

I've been closed out so far for 2 weeks due to the C word
lately.

Apart from that though, everything's fine Baz, thanks for
asking.

CLear calm days in Melbourne in Autumn? Obviously whoever made that assumption needs to kick his LSD habit....

I'm busting to get outside but its just not bloody possible, due to clouds, or smoke from the wretched DSE. Next weekend is already looking like a write off If by chance next sat and sun end up being clear, I'm in for the sunset-sunrise long haul...
