IC 4605 up close and personal

The weather in South Australia has been very fickle lately, but I did manage to image the dust near IC 4605. Stretching the data brings out some very interesting details in these dark nebulae. Of note is the small reflection nebula DG 143 near the star V2394 Oph. I'm still playing with the data but here is a first pass image.

Comments and/or criticisms welcome.

Best regards,
Tom

God Tom that's a piece of crap! Hope the next pass improves on this harsh, grainy, colourless, lifeless, bloated star vista (yeh this felt good )

What a stunning image - wonderful colours and transparency. Like the smoke from a bushfire in deep space.

Great image Tom, and I see taken with a FLI Proline (and one of the best images I have seen taken with this camera).

May I ask which filters?

cheers
Martin

Hi Martin,

This image was taken with 2nd Gen Adons. I have used Baader LRGB set with this scope/camera as well and they seem equally good.

Amazing shot.
Is that a galaxy peeking out from behind the dust just right of centre?

Very smooth image with very subtle transitions Tom and 4605 is well separated from the background for a great 3D feel !
