Question What is this? Help please.

Hi Everyone,
I have one of these adapter and don't know what is it for.
I like to use it for a cass. baffle by treading them together
with a rubber washer. Perfect for the central baffle!
Just don't know what to ask at the shop. I have one,
but need about 7 of them....

Any idea? The thread is around 60mm, male at one end and female at the other.

Thanks,
Mick.

A 60mm thread would make this a good candidate for a Vixen extension tube for something like the VC200L. This screws into the focuser when you are using an eyepiece for straight through viewing, or attaching a DSLR at prime focus.

If you use a star diagonal, you would unscrew this adapter due to the increased light path in the diagonal.

Have a look here at the American Vixen webpage for accessories, ITEM #2956

I would recommend just obtaining the correct length of 60mm aluminium tubing and finish it in a durable matt black?

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Dennis,
it is look like that.

I have a strait tube, but it is very hard to control the stray light.
Tak's Mewlon has 13 knife edge baffle. That is my mentor...
With the rubber washers I can have 6 baffle cutting the stray light.

I'm pretty sure also that that vixen extension tube (used on my 2 vixen refractors and vc200l) and its 63mm from memory.
