Not happy, Mike!! :P

I decided to give in and order a 13mm Nagler from Bintel. Then I get this response:

"I am out of 13mm Naglers as Mike Salway from the Ice in Space forum was given our last one to use in a review." (Michael C at Bintel)

Better be a damn good review!
Looking forward to it, Mike!

haha doh

I still need it for one more 3rd quarter or new moon session at Kulnura to finish the review, and then Mike Smith can have it back I'm also hoping the sky is clear tonight for some moon light testing of it, John B is coming over tonight if the clouds go away.

It'll be a review of the nagler, plus a shootout between it, the Meade 14mm UWA s4000 and the Pentax XW 14mm.

Mike C from Bintel tells me that it will take a week to get me a "shiny new one".

Melbourne forecast for this w/e is: clear skies with excellent seeing.

Forecast for w/e after: rain, hail, gail-force winds.

Yeah, you might want a new one after Mike has finished drooling over the test case one, you might not want it with saliva stains...

That's a bit harsh David H!

No I don't want your 500 David P.

(Sssh. I got my DGM narrow-band filter today and I think I got away with not paying GST. )

I actually should confess to buying the last 13mm Nag in stock ....I bought it a couple of weeks after Iceman was loaned one by Bintel. Steve, I'd sell you mine....but then, I'd die of a broken heart!

Mate, it'll be worth the wait!

I got a package from Bintel this morning. 14mm Meade S5000 UWA.

Obviously a mixup because that's what I was going to order originally, but in the end I went with the 13mm Nagler. I asked Bintel if they'd let me keep the UWA till after Star Camp so maybe Mike (and others too if their eyeballs are clean ) could check it out to see how it compares with the Nagler.

Hey, good idea. Shame about the mixup but I would be very interested to compare my Meade 14mm UWA s4000 with the s5000 version.

Oh yeh, and also the nagler Though I won't have it with me at the starparty. I'll most likely have returned it by then.

I should have the Nagler by then, Mike. I'll let you know as soon as I get a reply from Bintel.

The 5000 UWA needs to go back now, unfortunately. But Nagler + Panoptic are on their way! And even though I offered to pay for return postage, Bintel refused it, and already credited the cost of postage to the cost of the EPs. Not bad. They were very quick getting back to me and fixing up the mistake too.

You'll love the 13mm Steve, we have a 12mm and it's Magic.

Should be a nice collection of High end E.P's for all to try over the Star Camp weekend.
