Space Shuttles & Concept

Would anyone have some really good pictures of space shuttles and or sattlites or future concept space exporation or links? im wanting to find a really nice picture of a Nasa craft and draw and paint in on canvas.

Probly be cool if it was something like Hubble, something that really impacted astronomy, ya know?

Well, I might be able to help with a few sites I have in my favourites...

NASA Dryden photo site: http://www.dfrc.nasa.gov/Gallery/Photo/index.html

Not the best for space craft, but it has a few of the shuttles, and the X-15 which can be considered a space craft. Also a lot of other neat things there (Lots of the old X vehicles, aerospike rocket lauhch, Lunar Landing Research Vehicle).

New Horizons site: http://pluto.jhuapl.edu/

The probe to pluto that launched only recently. Not much more to say about it really.

Orbiter site: http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/orbit.html

This is a site to a space simulator called orbiter. Best place to look for pics would be the gallery or forum. The pics might not be real photographs, but most models still have a fair amount of detail. You can also probably find almost any probe, space craft etc there is in the add-on section of the forum.

I hope this helps at all!

The Kennedy Space Centre website has lots of pics of both Shuttle and Expendable Launch Vehicle operations, eg Titan, Altas .... but you'll have to navigate your way around. The multimedia section has a few, and there's an archive somewhere going all the way back to project Mercury.

NASAs planned new launch vehicle is called the Crew Exploration Vehicle, or CEV for short. It is to be more of an Apollo style vehicle to be launched atop a shuttle booster(s). Here's a link to the NASA gallery for the CEV.

Here's a link to the homepage.
