the other well ? the focus should be bang on the diffraction spike says so to me and i use the focus program that comes with the camera( both these pics are 1:1) its the same as the good one
the only thing i can think of is that the diffraction spikes meet exactly with the bayer array pattern and has caused a problem, in the other picture it is slightly offset.
subs pretty much the same , little crosses in the stars.... went out last night plugged away at the cats paw for 3 hours (rotated the camera as suggested) no noticable problems . at least that rules out collimation and mirror problems.
thanks for replying, its an oddity i can do without , always something new to learn, for now i'll make sure the camera is at a slight angle.
