aphid farming

take this arvo just as darkness was coming... made focus very hard!

spent the earlier part of the day packing as i am moving house in 2 weeks.

Nicely captured Ving, now if we can just use that as photographic evidence and get a conviction. They (the ants) farmed a nasty scale bug called cotton cushion scale on my English Box hedge plants, a nasty infestation you could see the boxes going backwards.

A spray with Rogor was the only choice, luckily it fixed the problem. Needless to say, I hate sap suckers.

nah moving down the road. lol
we are renting at the mo but have just bought a place. theres national pk right accross the road, how good it that!

oh and thanks for the compliments guys


oh, phil... if you get aphids like this a good way to get rid of them is mix ina 500mm spray bottle 1 teaspoon of eucalyptus oil, one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and fill the rest with water.... makes them really clean and smell purdy... after a while (couple of days) they go black and die too
