FOR SALE : This 80mm F11 refractor, made by Mizar (Japan). I have had a look for more info on this,but its proving elusive. The mount is an alt az, with good slow motions, sometimes the slow motion slips, i have no idea why. Cosmetically, it has some flaws, the dust cover for the aperture is missing, and there are some scratches on the OTA around the area where it connects to the mount, but these are all cosmetic. Dont mistake this for some cheap department store scope, this has excellent quality Japanese optics, and even for its size provides wonderfully clear and crips view of the planets, better than some large aperture Chinese made instruments. Would make a good guide scope, or grab and go, or a good project for some to restore. comes with 25mm eyepiece, and diagonal.
The price? well, i am open to offers. Optically its outstanding for its size, with absolutely no CA. but i know its seens better days. would rather buyer collect, or we can arrange to meet up if not too far.
