Saturn - Sat 18th April

Opportunity came up to buy a Toucam, so figured it might came in handy for some planetary as well as being a bit more sensitive for guiding over my old webcam.

About 45secs stacked in Registax.

Well done Rob,

Very nice result, sharp and well defined banding and a Moon to the right.

Regards
Trevor

I like it Rob, nice work.

Some adjustment of the levels to raise the black point (especially in the blue channel) would make it look even better.

Many thanks for the kind comments all - thanks for looking.

Trevor, your eagle eyes are right - I did a bit of researching yesterday to find out what moons were visible - was originally a bit disappointed not to capture the handful that were visible, but Rhea did just come through, and Dione and Tethys are there if you stretch the entire thing to billyo (as per below).

Thanks for comment on channels Mike - I still seem to struggle to get my blues under control sometimes. Will have to be less afraid to push a bit more aggressively.

Top stuff Rob,

Those toucams are really good.

Ian sharp (from England) recently reminded me of his toucam image of saturn. it is a beauty!

Thanks for posting this link David,

Not often am I stuck for words, however, whatever adjective I come up with would not do justice to the exquisite Saturn images of Ian Sharp.

Thanks again

Trevor
