PS2 Emulator

I'm hoping that some of you gamers will be able to help me.
I've downloaded PCSX2 V.0.9.6. But I can't get it to recognise the PS2 disc.

does the emulator start up? do you have a PS2 BIOS?? does it not recognize it, or do you get an error? have you tried more than one disc?
