Lense Cleaning on ED80 OTA

Hi guys,

Newbie question! .....

What do people use to clean the main lense on a refractor OTA?
After a heavy dew last Sat night I now have a lovely smear across it!

I have some cleaning tissue paper that I got with my SLR - I presume that is ok to use? I have used this to clean my camera lenses for years now without a problem.

I use a Lens Pen on my DSLR lenses, and I've used it on my ED80, all have come up like new.

I blow off any dust using a Rocket Blower then softly brush the lens and finally use the Lens Pen.

I have it on good authority that the coatings on the ED80 are quite hard and tough. NO hard rubbing when dry with dirt and dust on it!

I have been recommended to use a normal streak -free glass cleaner but not to spray directly on the glass. Spray on the rag (use a soft rag like an old t-shirt).
