Linux Software for Shoestring hardware

I am looking to run Shoestring devices on Linux. Does anyone know of anything in existance. The boxes are ascom compatible but looking at the ascom website it seems to be a windows based standard.

Any ideas, a quick search didn't show up much. I have some programming experience but a bit rusty and mostly user apps rather than hardware interfacing so I would rather not reinvent the wheel.

No, but I do know how to program for them. They're HID devices and it's not a rough interface.
