Anyone managed to enable GPU acceleration on CS4 under Win XP 64 bit?

I'm trialling this software and even with the registery key ElableOldGPU added an set on CS4 greys out GPU acceleration of the 32 and 64 bit CS4 extended under Windows XP 64 bit.

I have downloaded the lastest NVidia software (less than a week old), but I am wondering reading the forums if XP 64 bit simply doesn't let GPU acceleration to be enabled?

Matt

Interesting...Can't say I've tried it on XP 64. I'm running 64-bit PS CS4 extended on Vista 64. All GPU options are there. I'm using the Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT card. Works a treat and screams along.

I get the feeling that its been deliberately switched off for Windows XP highest performing OS version - which is annoying.

Rumour has it that NVidia and ATI general purpose OpenGL drivers (versus their narrow, gaming OpenGL drivers) under 64 bit XP were simply too buggy to switch GPU on
