Light pollution...

Many of us have had problems with neighbours 'security' lights, often big halogens aimed straight over their fence and into your garden. Well my neighbours have hit a new low, they have just installed a 2m high illuminated glass doored soft drink fridge outside which is left on casting a glow similar to a full moon over our 1.8m fence.

Why would anyone do that? I think I must be loosing touch with the world because I just can't even vaguely understand.... Surely the cans will go off (it must hold hundreds), they only have about three parties a year.

On the plus side, our house is sold and we move out tomorrow! But I'll be swapping my once dark rural skies for the orange glow of Adelaide, although, I'll be Blackwood way, so I'm hoping that half the sky might not be too bad. It should be the final excuse to get that Argo Navis at least.

Nah, I can't find a logical reason for that. If they're not using it for parties then one wonders whether it's for daily consumption. If they drink that much lolly water they'd look like Mitchelin Rubber Men.

BTW I was in a KFC for the first time in a decade the other day. All the customers were obese - I mean more obese than me, and at 113kg I ain't no light-weight. It can't be because of the size of the portions; the 'burger' I got would be half the size of one that cost the same from thr local hot'n'greasie.
