Another M104 - DSI II shot

I thought I would have a go at M104 with my 5" scope and DSI II Pro, but I think that I will have to up the image scale to that of my 10" scope to get the details that I want in the dust lanes with the short exposures Im using (50x1min).
Comments welcomed

Actually, I would be very interested to see your 10inch version once you shoot it. Last week I shot the same target with my DSI II pro in RGB through my 10inch and was a bit dissapointed. I used 11 x 2min subs ea LRGB. The problem seemed to be too much light which had the effect of blowing out the core and adding noise to the surrounds (even when processed in PSP still no joy). This target looks good they way you shot it! If you want me to post my version let me know.

There's definitely some detail in the dust lane in this image but it looks like the sky glow was difficult to remove and still some evidence of a gradient from top right to bottom left.

The 10" should provide a very nice image scale.

Very nice Allan.
It's going to be a while before you get out the 10" though.

here is the image I mentioned in my last post. Looking at it agin there is a lot of noise. I did not calibrate the image but auto subtracted dark frames only.

Was that a stright 10" shot or did you use a f6.3 reducer?
