GIMP Manual files

I have installed the latest version of GIMP on my computer. But when I go ro read the Manual files, it tells me that the Manual files are not installed and asks me if I want to read it online.

Looking around the GIMP web site, I go to the Documentation page and I can read it online, but I would like to install a copy on my computer. Can anyone tell how to do that and which folder it needs to go into?

Thanks for you assistance.

Here you go, the "PDF Snapshots" section:

http://manual.gimp.org/download.html

Looks to be about 20MB.

Thanks Ash.

I have installed GIMP 2.6.6 but the latest PDF manual is 2.4. I have downloaded it any way as it will get me started learning how to use GIMP.

On the download page there is also a separate link to the help files. It's in the "source" section.

Direct link: ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/help/

The principles are the same.

To be honest I didn't notice that much difference between 2.4 and 2.6, just a bit with the interface but nothing major.
