I think this morning was the first clear morning in Brisbane since Venus was at inferior conjunction 11 days ago, so I took the opportunity to have a look. I missed the best of the crescent in the evening sky because my western horizon is blocked by trees, but I was able to pick up Venus when it was still low on the eastern horizon this morning. The seeing was bad (not surprising given the altitude), but the crescent still looked great! No one else has posted a Venus shot recently, so here is a quick afocal one from this morning.
