Last night was clear and calm for a couple of hours late on so I ventured out into my obs. After messing around with my Tele Vue Big Barlow and getting nowhere fast for an hour or so I re configured and re aligned my gear to do some imaging. I managed to get "nearly" 2x480sec frames on M8 before the stars onscreen suddenly disappeared ... looking upwards the sky had become completely overcast so no more imaging.
The data I got on M8 was pretty good though so I messed around with it today for something to do as I watch the clouds rolling across my sky
Anyway I have posted three images :
The original 14 minute stack image
An adjusted Saturation/hue image ... just messed with the sliders so don't ask what I did.
A combination of the 2 images layering the sat/hue as Luminosity 70%
Apart from the slighly green sky I don't think the result is too bad.

This is just a bit of fun and I intend to do a complete imaging session on M8 as soon as weather permits.

By the way if you flick between 1st and 3rd image you will see the effect of layering the adjusted image had on the original.
