A Great deal on Stellarvue I found

Hi guys,
Thought Id let you know about a deal I got, and I asked if I could put in on here and the guys said "yes". It is first come first serve because he has a limited amount of them in stock..

Well here is the deal:

Stellarvue F60M 10 x 60 Finder scope with rings stalk and base for $250 including postage

or

The 80mm finder. $350 with rings base and postage.

I got myself the first one.
The condition is that you have to contact https://www.sdmtelescopes.com.au FIRST and tell them I sent you or that you saw the deal on here.

Thanks

P.S: Sorry to the ops if this is the wrong place to post, but I wanted my fellow members to get the great deal like I just got.

TBH, even though its stellarvue ... its still alot of money to spend on a finder.

the same cost of the 80mm model would get you an Orion ST80.

still, not bad.

The 80mm looks like a good deal, considering it comes with rings and base and eyepiece. The ST80 is a mere $10 cheaper and it's an OTA only.

It does appear to be a great deal for that particular item, particularly in these times re: $AU etc. The Astrosystems laser collimator is now ~$230 from SDM but when I got it late last year I think I paid about $160

Illuminated finders are great; Last weekend I actually got to put into use my standard 9x50 RACI finder which I modded to fit an LED to illuminate the crosshairs - much better now (and I'd almost forgot I did the mod)

True, but the ST80 is more versatile?

well, if he's looking for a finder only, then the Stellarvue is the way to go but If he wants to use the scope for rich field observing aswell, then yer the ST80 would be a better choice.

if it's only going to be used as a finder - go for the stellarvue. Upgrading the orion to bring up to 'finder status' (that is purchasing the required rings, diagnal, eyepiece etc) will likely cost you over $400.
