Tidbinbilla

All,

Shot 20th December, 2008, using my old 350D with the 24-105mm f/4L IS USM.

This is a three panel mosaic, manually blended with varying exposures for the sky and foreground.

I'm hoping to get out there with the 5D Mark II and reshoot.

Slightly larger version here.

Regards,
Humayun

Very nice result, as usual Humayun.

I wonder, if you do reshoot this most beautiful vista, if you might be able to utilize or maybe highlight to a greater extent, the effect of the shadows thrown on the landscape by any clouds that happen to be judiciously placed.

I am thinking about how good the effects of cloud shadows on the terrain look from the air and wondered if you had ever tried to capture the effect at all. Not even sure whether it could be done from the ground but I noticed the cloud shadows in this image.

Regards
Trevor

Nice work Humayun, a lovely image.

I always enjoy seeing the blue-green hues of the Brindabella's

Cheers
