Sea Gull, This Years Attempt

Hi Guys, My intention is to capture some more Data of this object over the next few nights, so this is the start, with only 6 subs captured last night.

Have to say though that the temp, was still sitting on about 16 degrees last night, so it dose have a bit of noise.

I want to get at least 15 to 20 sub frames over a few nights, and see if I can't improve on the final out come.

Anyway here we have 6 images, @ 8 mins each, @ 400 ISO, of the Sea Gull Neb, taken through the Tak and Modded 5D, on the G11, and Auto Guided through the WO, 80mm FD, using a Orion Star Shoot Camera, ICNR was on, and Flats applied.

Please comment either way, and I hope that a few more subs, and cooler weather will improve the final image. Thanks for Looking

Leon

Good one Leon - I assume that's @ ISO 800. Waiting for all that new data and a bit more stretching. Interesting aspect too - it's taking a dive. Great to see such a wide view of it.

Many thanks guys for your comments, hopefully a bit more Data will improve the final outcome, and Graig, I have edited my first post, actually shot at 400 ISO.

A mighty fine start Leon. Ced90 really shines as does the head (ic2177). Looking forward to seeing how far you can build upon this...

Thanks Steve and Jase, I'll have a go at collecting some more subs, weather permitting, and see how we go.

Thanks for your comments.

Gee Mike I can only get in 9 subs a night, that is starting at 9.30pm, with each frame taking 16 minutes, than the object is getting a bit low.

I lost three last night because of cloud, so you are saying to do at least 2 more nights at this, Ok i'll give it a go

Oh Gary maybe I didn't write that right, they are only 8 minutes subs, and the ICNR dose an 8 minute one as well, yea, a bit time consuming I suppose, but I prefer to do it like that.

Thanks for your comments.
