A wonderful image, well done Martin. How do APOD pick them? From forums and galleries online, or does one submit

Superb image and well deserving.

Although I submitted my jupiter and io shot from last year 4 times, it never made the APOD. I found this odd at the time and still do. The selection process is often now fathomable.

Still congrats Martin, an image worthy of recognition.

Yes congratulation Martin for another APOD!

I guess Martin's image(s) will be in Robert Gendler's new book "Capturing the Stars: Astrophotography by the Masters" which publishes the images of the world's best 30 astrophotographers. Will wait and see!

Hello everyone a from v.cold Omaha.

Well, the relocation is largely complete but has been difficult to say the least. Got up on internet this week at home, and have only had random (borrowed) access up until now.

Of course, thank you for the posts regarding this APOD, which I only found out about some 7 days after the event through lack of internet access. As usual, this was something I sent in several weeks ago; you just dont know with those guys.

Great to see so many fine images being produced....well done one and all. As for myself? Well, its all still in boxes and that is likely to be the case for some weeks yet. Visually, everything looks like it survived the trip, but of course, you dont know until you plug it all together and produce some fine square stars.

Great to be back online, and thanks again.

Martin
