Python

I was doing a little yard work today and found this python.
By the time I'd run and grabbed the camera he'd started up the banana tree.
I'd say he was 5-6ft at least.
Got to have a pat while he was spiralling upwards. I can still smell the musk on my hands.

Aren't they the coolest animals. You just can't help wanting to touch them.

Great shots...

What a stunning looking animal... His/her colouring and markings are actually quite brilliant indeed.. I've not seen a better looking python....

(I used to have 2 pet pythons... Now I only have lizards... they are still fun and beautiful! )

Nice shots jeanette! Only snake I've seen down here in Western Sydney lately is a baby brown snake (would have been maybe a foot long and as thin as a pencil, I thought it was a worm at first!)
