Any idea if the unit functions or any issues?

Not sure if you would know but figure you may have removed the OTA from the unit, so do you know how the OTA attached to the arm ?

Also can you give me a clue on the spacings between the bolts on the bottom of the unit ? Chances of a pic ?

Sorry 1 more. Not real sure what you mean by saddle....please explain

Hi
I have never used the unit onther than to switch it on , I've never put a scope on it.
A saddle is like a clamp for the dovetail on the scope.
Its got a centre 1/4" 1/20 hole and three more at a radius of 80mm from centre.

Thanks

Zane, from the images posted it looks more like a Nexstar 4gt mount the older 5 and 5i mounts could take a 8" but not the 4. The new 5se mount also can not take the 8" scope. The 6se and 8se have the same mount. Do you have any details on what this mount originally held?

Fahim
I've had a look on the net and my mount looks nothing like a GT or SLT mounts which is the lightest and cheapest of the nexstars.
Its similar to the se or i mounts.
