Moon 20th Feb

G'day all,

I snapped this shot of the moon this morning at about 6:30 local time. I was waiting for the LX to finish dawn flat frames.

It's the first half decent shot I've got from my new William Optics Megrez 90 APO, with others being of deep sky objects and failing due to guiding etc.

The 90mm Megrez has a lot more focal length (proportionally!) than my Megrez 80, having 621mm rather than 480mm, but ge it's still a wide field of view! The moon is quite small in the camera's FOV. I might try putting my Tamron doubler on and taking another series one morning. This image is at 100% size as captured, just cropped down.

Stacked in Registax, first time I've used registax in 6 months I think! Used a little wavelet sharpenning in Registax too.

Same image attached as availabe here:

Its pretty sharp, Roger, it looks fine on my Monitor, But I suppose I'm a bit like you, one seems to know when it just not right for one's self, still a nice capture though.
