Lens cell help

Hello all, have jst purchased a zeiss 300mm f5.6 lens cell (thanks Lars) the cell has a metal thread on it which is about 80-82mm in diamter & i want to be able to place the cell into a tube PVC or otherwise.

My question is how would i go about getting a piece of metal with thread that i can then attach to a tube (although its getting very close to the focuser diameter of 82-83mm), whether it be one piece which is threaded or a threaded ring which then secures to a tube. I am presuming Al would be the metal of choice - i live near Melb so any places locally who could help would be greatly appreciated

As an alternative, could you place the whole cell in a tube (pvc, aluminium, etc) and use some shims to take up the space in front of and behind the flange? And then I guess you'd have to do the same for the focuser... Hmm.
