A few more Tassie images

A few more from my recent trip - this time it's lakes and rivers. The first 2 are early morning reflections at Bronte Lagoon on the central plateau (good trout fishing location!), and the other 2 are the Huon River.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Stephen

The same little boat doesn't look nearly as cheerful in the rain at low tide

[I was in Tassie for the Wooden Boat Festival over the weekend and visited the Living Boat Trust at Franklin. Couldn't resist taking this shot after seeing your picture]

Lovely images Stephen,

There is something captivating about water and reflections.
Probably, due to being born and bread in the remote outback, I find myself drawn to water and boats, all of which feature in these images.

Well done indeed.
Regards
Trevor

Nice Stephen, I hope it will look like that, in a about ten days when Alice and I will be putting the car and caravan on the Spirit of Tasmania and spending 2 weeks there.

We have never been there, so are looking forward to it.

We were heading off next week to the high country, however I don't think that would be such a good idea, with all the fires, and I'm sure the fireries don't want us up there anyway.

Leon

Nice photos. Excellent use of the light.

(I was one of those cheapskates who took the free option at the Wooden Boat festival, opting to paddle in on my kayak. Got front-row seats at the quick and dirty boat building/racing competition and almost got myself capsized.)

Thanks very much everyone! This thread seems to be suddenly attracting some attention again after sitting quietly for several weeks.

Hey, well spotted Geoff! It's quite nice down at Franklin even in the rain, isn't it.

Have a great trip, Leon! Plenty of good photographic opportunities down there...

I'll have to try and get down for the wooden boat festival some time. Perhaps in 2011. Any photos from the festival?

Thanks for the comments, Humayan, Mike and Trevor as well!

Cheers,
Stephen

(Actually it was my Brother-in-law who caught them, but I was with him at the time...)
