hi folks
just letting you know i had to go to the telstra shop to-day to find out why i had been charged $12 on each of my mobile phones this month for the Foxtel service - which i of course did not subscribe to or activate on our phones
the nice young lad at the telstra shop said we must have activated the service ourselves (or one of our grand kids had) as it can only be done from the phone
well i think it amazing that i would know how to activate it in the first place and then be able to do both phones exactly at the same time. (and the grand kids were nowhere to be seen on that day)
and then of course when you have to make the call to india to get it refunded off your account you go through the usual hoops of answering the prompts - being transferred to the correct department - THEN BE DISCONNECTED - and go through the whole process again
then if your lucky you get put on hold three times while the lovely lady adjusts your account - recovers from a computer crash - and makes sure she has done it again
then has the hide to ask you if there is anything else she can help you with to-day
BE WARNED PEOPLE - CHECK YOUR BILLS
i wonder how many people have been caught and paid their bill without checking
Thanks for the warning Geoff.
I usually check my bills pretty thoroughly.
Don't mind paying for what I use, but I'll be damned if I'll pay for something that I don't.
I had a problem with telstra not crediting my supposed $20 worth of free calls on my mobile plan.
Spoke to Pradesh (wherever) and he corrected my bill.
When I told him I wanted my bill itemised he said they will do this on my next bill and credit the amounts.
I will believe it when I see it????????
I have been thinking of ditching my landline and just getting a 3G/NextG? Mobile Phone, but as I live in a crappy receiving area I don't know which to go.
Reading your posts has got me thinking it might not be a good idea
