Where from?

Steve at MyAstroShop is where I'd go, if I wanted to get a SkyWatcher dob.

Sounds like a very good price.

Considering that the "normal" average price with an EQ5 mount is around the $1,200 mark - I'd say a sensational price. A Dobsonian version couldn't be THAT much cheaper, surely????

PS - They're a great scope BTW

That's the dob, Chris - not the EQ5 version.

That's a fantastic price!

The cheapest I could find was from MyAstroShop for $425, and that's not including the $20 or so postage. You've obviously looked hard to find such a good deal.

By the way, I posted a thread on the same day about something similar. I was trying to choose between the SkyWatcher or the GSo 8" Dobsonian Telescope. Would you be able to tell me that seller because that is a very affordable price for me!

BTW I have a Skywatcher 8" F6 Dob, that price is very good for a brand new one. Are you a member of the Astronomical Society of SA? Will you be going to one of their observing nights?

$400 is a good price, note though that this is quite an old thread..you'd be probably looking at ~$490 for the skywatcher from most places atm, however York appear to be offering an IIS members discount currently..
