10 " skywatcher with too many accesories

i have a 10" skywatcher mounted on an aussie made samson mount with motor drive on one axis also comes with original dob mount ,also included are...
celestron neximage colour cam
neximage 2.5x reducer
laser collimator
eyepieces
uo hd or 12mm
lv 5mm long eyerelief 20mm 45 deg
skywatcher wa 8mm
skywatcher wa 20 mm
super plossl 10mm
plus one unknown 1" 20mm
full set of celestron filters 6 of
1 1" moon filter am selling to fund new project
may take good pair of astro binocs as part trade
asking $1000 for the lot , won't seperate anything pickup only or i will deliver free to canb queenbyan free.

Im very happy with the gear - now to figure out how to use it

fyi.. I put the scope back on the original mount so I could jump right in and start using it.. (this is my first scope).. Ive been out nearly every (clear) night since and Im pretty pretty bloody impressed..

Ive given the samson a bit of a clean up and now Ive got to learn to balance the bloody scope on it (it friggin huge) .. Im keen but also a bit nervous.. also hoping to get a SLR T/Ring this week..

the mount came with the (second hand) bundle.. see top of thread..
It was probably the thing that attracted me most to the sale..

I feel pretty fortunate to have come across this deal.. now Ive just got to get of my slack bum and learn to balance my scope and use them mount..

yeah i know, you got such a great deal i just shelled out like $840 for my 10" and thats it. I was kinda hoping joelkujala would enlighten me on to where i could purchase a mount like that. Would love to give astrophotograpy a go. Thanks

hey it sounds like you just might be a bit of a newbie like me..

..before coming across this deal I was very tempted to try a 'barn door' homemade job.. admittedly I was only playing with widefield (no scope) shots.. but it sounded like you could potentially get a few minutes of accuracy out of them..

I really have no idea if it would be possible but if you were keen enough you might be able to rig up a 'big' barn door..

ohh yeah im a newbie alright, im going to put something together. Im an electrcian thats just been made redundant so i think ill put my skills to use and make something. ill post whatever i decide to make. Thanks for the tips

it would be great to see what you come up with ..

again.. I never tried it but I was also thinking that if you could monitor and control the screw turn rate (eg cheap/easy micro controller like picaxe) you could (maybe) keep it accurate for longer.. depends how keen you are.. if you know V=IR (bout my limit of electronics) and some basic programming skills the picaxe is a very cheap and easy micro-controller to play with..

Please let us know if you want more info.. (I might start a new thread.. as my ramblings are getting a little of the topic
