Thanks to all that have expressed their support.
If the ABC give the green light for the Australian Story feature, I had IIS stickers all over my case and camera bag when they filmed and interviewed me at Sydney International airport before I left.
The IIS stickers made it a lot easier identifying my case on the carousel at Honolulu and Kona. Also, when Duncan Forbes interviewed me at the summit of Mauna Kea with the twin Keck's as a backdrop, I was wearing my IIS beanie.
I apologize for the inordinate amount of media attention I am receiving, I am just another amateur astronomer.
Occasionally the print media, out of courtesy provide a draft. Some of the things they write embarrass the hell out of me. Some articles are more accurate than others, any of you that have had experiences such as this would be aware of how journalists work.
There will also be another article in The Australian in March as part of a Swinburne supplement, it just keeps going on.
I don't contact these people, they keep contacting me.
In this year of astronomy, I suppose any media coverage of what amateurs are doing must be a positive thing.
Regards
Trevor
