Yes - another first time Rosette shot!

Well, I was planning to post this image (taken two nights ago), and then notices Martin's first time posting of it toady! Seems a popular image recently!

Took this with the following:

DSI II about 35 x 60sec shots through ED80 at f3.3

Guided on LX200 10" with DSI-C

This is my first attempt at this nebula. I used Photoshop to remove some Light pollution and to increase contrast.

Dr Paul, now for such short exposures that is not a bad effort indeed, however I like these sort of shots with a much wider field of view, But that is only IMHO, well done.

Thanks Leon. I agree re the widefiled shot for this nebula. You only get the true "circular" nature of it in wide shots. I pick up a Canon 350 next week so will try to go wider with that!

Not bad for such short exposures

To get more out of the Rosette you have to do at least 5 Minute exposures.
And when you have the 350D, mod it straight away

Martin.
