Cs 4 Seq

I had a Nana nap this afternoon and woke up to CLEAR SKIES!
Looking forward very much to a few hours of dark sky goodness.

Yep.

Have already set up outside and am ready for an imaging run on Venus...before hopefully bagging my first Saturn for the season.

Just hope it remains clear. There's a little cloud rolling in on the radar

Good luck Jeanette and Matt – I have an early appointment tomorrow morning so no late night for me tonight!

Cheers

Dennis

Just looked at the BOM site and both in the Infrared and the Visual there is a Big bank of cloud heading this way, but I will be like you and be optimistic and set up.
Even if we can get a couple of hours in it will be better than nothing.

Still got some setting up to do yet.

My new ED80 Pro arrived yesterday, I had it set up in the yard late afternoon in readiness to give it a try out last night. I guess the Sky Gods saw it sitting there all covered with "newness" and decided to do something about that. Sorry Jeanette, Ron, etc.

As I said, "if I get a couple of hours observing that is better than nothing" and that's what I got before the clouds came in.

The sucker holes were well placed for myself.
I had Orion until it disappeared behind the shed then the clouds to the south cleared, giving me full access to Carina.
By the time it clouded over completely, the moon was rising.
It would have been nice to have it completely clear, but considering that Steve had bought a new scope, and I had some new gear too, I thought that we did quite well.

Managed to bag some Venus data before it went pear-shaped here.

Have posted a false colour image in the Solar System forum
