SSO This Morning

As a bit of a daylight project I try to improve my capture of SSO from my front verandah. With a storm approaching it provided a good contrast sky.

For those unfamiliar I have identified the buildings.

Just a quick check to make sure it's not Houghy's backyard. -No, not yet.

Where abouts in Coona are you??
That is an interesting angle to observe the mountain top. I am trying to workout where you would be. My guess is your on the North East side of the National park.
If you are interested there will be several members of Iceinspace visiting Coona on the Australia day long weekend, myself included. I will be bringing the 25" with me. We will be set up at the Timor Cabins, so if you would like to have a look by all means come observing.

Looking at the great images on IIS, makes me feel the green one. But I am humbled to have a fortunate life.

Not all beer & skittles 'though.

Blimey, Jeff, that’s a cracker of a lightning storm photo!

Must be enough energy in those amazing strikes to keep H0ughy’s gear in power for the rest of his life, plus some!

Cheers

Jeff,

You lucky so and so! How awesome would it be to live in one of the darkest skies in Australia!

Nice shots, especially the lightning!

Regards,
Humayun
